Home visit - Initial
An initial home visit is usually between 90-120min long. Some things that I can help you with are:
Latching and positioning, pumping and flange sizing, milk supply concerns, nipple damage or pain, slow weight gain, a sleepy or fussy baby, clogged ducts, mastitis, oral function assessment, oral ties, breast refusal and aversion, and bottle feeding. I will bring a highly sensitive scale for weighted feeds. I will provide a care plan with resources to support your next steps.

Virtual Visit - Initial
An initial virtual visit is usually around 90min. I will help you virtually with: latching and positioning, pumping plans, milk supply concerns, nipple damage or pain, slow weight gain, a sleepy or fussy baby, clogged ducts, mastitis, bottle feeding. We can also work together on bottle refusal in some cases.

Initial Bottle Refusal visit
This can be virtual or in home. Bottle refusal can happen even for a baby who previously took a bottle well. There are a myriad of reasons why they may be refusing, and we will try to work with what the baby is and is not able to do in order to find what works best for them. I have completed additional training in how to help you and your baby navigate this challenging issue. These visits are typically 90min.

A follow up visit isn't always needed, but there are situations when it is. In this 60-90 minute visit we will review the plan from our previous visit and make changes as needed based on assessments made during our visit.

Prenatal consult
A prenatal consult is a 60-75minute education session where you can ask all your questions and we will go over some important things to know about feeding your newborn before you give birth. I will bring some helpful handouts for you to refer to after our visit as well.
Bottle refusal can take time to tackle. There are many layers as to why refusal happens, and as we peel back these layers the approach gets more fine tuned. You can expect 1-2 follow up visits minimum in most cases minimum. A follow up is usually 60-90min.

Group Classes
Sometimes we offer a free or low cost drop in infant feeding support group in the Snoqualmie Valley. This can be a great way to meet other families, weigh your baby and have basic lactation questions answered. If you are interested in something like this please reach out if you don't see anything currently posted here! If there is a group happening it will be posted here.
